I Like Traffic Lights (But Only...)

Not sure if it's because I spend so much time driving or because I'm an uneducated superstitious idiot, but if I'm approaching traffic lights and they either stay green or turn green so I don't have to stop, I thank them a few times as I'm driving through. And if I don't it seems like I have a bad run for ages after.
You find that too?
