With regards to the entry about books being sold at Kmart, Target etc and how I wouldn't like mine (if I ever wrote anything) being sold there, I've just finished a book, "Life Of Pi"* by Yann Martel, which I bought at Kmart. I'm sure some critic somewhere has already described it thus, but I thought it was...great...immensely readable...wonderful.
Which just goes to show that not all books sold at Kmart and Target are shit. (Not that I ever said that but you know what I mean.)
*I've been going to buy this book for nearly two years but have always either decided against it or just bought something else at the time. Plus it has won awards, which usually has me running the other way. I'm pleased to say that this time they were well deserved.
