While fuel prices continue to break records, and obviously not in a good way, the Prime Minister came out the other day and said that there's nothing he can do about it.
Well, he could drop the GST for a start. Considering we already pay exorbitant federal and state taxes on fuel, it's ludicrous.
(And I'm not even going to get into the fact that we supply most of our own oil but someone signed an agreement in the 70s that tied us to 0PEC prices.)
