One of the two forgotten things from the last diary entry...

I was standing in Km@rt and heard a mum with her two young sons. They were standing at the border of the auto and hardware sections (I think), which is near the layby counter. (Is it just me or do you also find it sad that young children are taught, in this country at least, that layby is a normal thing and should be encouraged? Or am I out of touch and/or a snob?)

So the mother asked something of one of the boys and he replied with, "I'd like, no, I'd prefer if..."

I turned around because the voice sounded young. He was - about five at the most.

Can't say I can recall speaking so maturely at that age, or at all for that matter.
