I thought my local beach was too crowded New Year's Eve day but then I read that around two MILLION people gathered/flocked/swarmed/hit Copacabana Beach in Brazil on the same day.
Then I got fairly bad sun/windburn on Monday. I was getting a bit shitty with the discomfort then I read in the same newspaper that, because of a business dispute, a woman and her five daughters were burnt to death while they were sleeping in a house in India.
That really put things into perspective.
